Elmo and Katie Couric Kissing
Elmo gave a Katie a big kiss on the cheek. Elmo attended the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s Hollywood Meets Motown Colon Cancer Benefit in New York on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 The event helps raise money for colon cancer, a cause close to Katie Couric’s. Katie’s husband,Jay Monahan, died of colon cancer in 1998 at the age of 42. Since that time she has been working to educate people about colon cancer hoping they will get tested.
Colorectal cancer is the second most deadly cancer in the United States. According to the Colon Cancer Alliance website these are some symptoms of colon cancer.
* a change in bowel habits
* diarrhea or constipation
* narrower than normal stools
* unexplained weight loss
* constant tiredness
* blood in the stool
* feeling that the bowel does not empty completely
* abdominal discomfort: gas, bloating, fullness, cramps
* unexplained anemia
* vomiting

10th Anniversary of Tick Me Elmo
Where were you when Tickle Me Elmo hits the shelves? Were you at home unaware of the mania that would soon ensue? Many Americans were living quiet lives not knowing what or who would cause a craze that is still being talked about ten years later.
Well, it has been ten years. It would be cool to know what those preschoolers of yesteryear are doing with those Tickle Me Elmos now that they are teenagers. Some probably still have their Tickle Me Elmos. It is not improbable, unlikely, or out of the question. I know kids from the 1980s that still are holding on to their Cabbage Patch Doll and do not ever plan on letting it go.
So I say hold on to your Tickle you Elmo as long as he tickles your fancy.
