There is something about Elmo and the way one new doll seems to garnet so much attention and desire. Elmo Live was debuted at the Toy fair this year and received a huge amount of praise. Elmo Live will be available on October 14, 2008 and is expected to be a huge hit for the holiday season.

Elmo Live is more life-like than any other Elmo toys to date. People are extremely infatuated with Elmo and many of the toys that have been made in his likeness. He is a cute and adorable character that not even Kevin Clash could have imagined could have had the broad and phenomenal success that it does today.
Elmo Live takes advantage of new technology to make him more advanced than before. He waves his arms, sits and stands, even crosses his legs all the while telling stories and jokes, singing songs and playing games. Children can activate the magic with a tickle or a squeeze of Elmo’s foot, tummy, back or nose.

Tuesday was Whoopi Gooldberg’s birthday and one of those neat surprise that The View gave away was The T.M.X. Elmo Special Edition. This Elmo has special giggles and moves that he makes if you tickle and move him in a certain sequence.

More than a year after the release of T.M.X. Elmo Mattel has released T.M.X. Elmo Special Edition.
This new Elmo is packed with new hidden silly surprises that can only be discovered when kids play, pose and tickle Elmo in the right sequence. The key is to find the right combination of movements (raise his arm, tickle his belly, etc.) to activate the fun.

Busy toddlers who need to “do it myself” can join the ranks of DIYers with this kid-size tool bench. With a hammer, circular saw, drill, wrench, gears, boards, screws, and screwdriver, the sturdy plastic bench has everything needed to build impressive (imaginary) projects. Elmo oversees the work, holding several of the tools himself, while Cookie Monster, Bert, and Ernie take charge of drilling and sawing. Push down on the saw or tighten some screws and hear the appropriate buzzing and “skreeking” sounds. Beware of the corny jokes (”Hey Ernie, I saw that! Get it? Heh heh heh heh.”) and goofy songs (”I’ve been working on the tool bench”). There is no volume control, and the sound is very loud, but veteran parents know all about the magic of a little well-placed packing tape over speakers. Do-it-yourself parents who would prefer that their children not handle real power drills and circular saws will truly appreciate this tool bench…and will probably spend more time than they care to admit playing with it themselves. The tools are similar enough to the real thing that little builders will probably learn a thing or two, too! Assembly is quick and intuitive. “T.M.X.†Elmo will tickle America’s funny bone with three interactive tickle spots on his chin, tummy or toe. When kids tickle Elmo once on any of the tickle spots, he starts to laugh and slap his leg twice, then falls down into a sitting position and rocks himself back up to standing while laughing. When they tickle him a second time, he repeats the pattern even more, then sits down again and falls backwards onto his back and starts kicking his feet while laughing even harder. He then stands back up and asks to be tickled again. And on the third tickle he absolutely lets loose going through the first two patterns and then rolling over onto his tummy where he starts hitting the floor with his hand in gales of laughter, then rolling onto his back, standing up again, and ending with a deep sigh. Requires 6 “AA” batteries.
