Sesame Street is taking us back, way back to when Kermit the Frog was a regular and Oscar was a complete grouch. “Sesame Street - Old School, Vol. 1 (1969-1974)” and “Sesame Street - Old School, Vol. 2(1974-1979)” are now a DVD. You will see cameos from the past featuring popular entertainers of the day. There will episodes of the Sesame Street friends riding the subway. Some of those that watched the original Sesame Street shows may actually have young grandchildren of their own. These DVDs are more for adults to look back and remember moments from the past.

Some friends from Sesame Street have come to join their friend Elmo on tickle and laughter fun. We can now see T.M.X. Cookie Monster and T.M.X. Ernie giggle and laugh like the T.M.X. Elmo doll. These dolls make some wonderful gifts for Christmas gifts. Maybe these are not as popular as the T.M.X. doll that was released over a year ago, but they will be fun to enjoy from little kids that enjoy watching Sesame Street on television.
On Sesame Street you can see Ernie and Cookie monster teaching early learning concepts on Sesame Street.

Costume shopping is around us. Elmo costumes are available is different sizes for children and babies. It is fun to see that little darling dressed up as Elmo. The styles are also varied with some costumes being full body suits and others being vests that go over the head and the upper body. Sesame Place, a theme park in Pennsylvania, honors a school in the  area of  New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts each year with the Good Neighbor award.Â
Glenville School was selected for the award because of its Go-Getters program, created this school year. Principal Marc D’Amico said the program highlights the best character attributes students should have. Each month, students in all grades were given a different desirable attribute to emulate, such as sharing and cooperating, and were told to discuss it with their families and act it out in their lives. The students who best exemplify the trait are recognized by D’Amico at a ceremony at the end of the month.
