Afghanistan Sesame Street Debuts

Sesame Workshop has created several international Sesame Street programs for nations across the world.  Sesame Workshop has teamed up with local people to make sure that the culture of the nation is reflected in the program.  In places like Nigeria the Sesame Street program created an HIV positive Muppet,Kami, that is used to help children and families that are deal with HIV.    Once again Sesame Street launched a new Sesame Street show, this time in Afghanistan.   Baghch-e-Simsim, the Afghanistan version of Sesame Street will feature some of the characters from the United States like: Elmo, Big Bird and Grover.   Also joining the America Muppets will be some of the other Muppets from Sesame Street shows around the world.
